Elder Rose - Argentina Resistencia Mission Nov. 2021 - Nov. 2023

 We had a great time talking to Luke this morning.  This time he called around 6:15 am - right when we were rushing to get off to school and seminary, but it was nice that he got to see everyone.  He seemed like he was in good spirits and I loved that he shared so many "miracles" that he had seen this week.  I love when missionaries recognize that they are little miracles and tender mercies that happen when you are involved in the work of the Lord!!!   Here's some of the stories that he shared... Well first of all the poor kid has another sty in his eye!  He got one a year ago and it was so bad that his eye swelled up and was completely closed!  YIKES!  When he felt it coming on he saw his President at the zone conference and a tender mercy is that he is a Optometrist! So his president gave him some pointers and told him a medicine to go and get at the pharmacy.  So already it is looking better and didn't completely close up (THANK GOODN...

  DÍA DE EMPANADAS!!!...CON "COLABORADORES"DE LUJO !!! UN EXITO!!! IT'S A DAY OF EMPANADES!!!... WITH LUXURY " COLLABORATORS" !!! A SUCCESS!!!  

  ¡¡¡¡Fue un buen día con El Gran Misión Resistencia ayer!!!!!!! Estoy emocionado también por mi amigo Daniel a ser bautizado hoy!!! It was a good day with The Great Resistance Mission yesterday!!!!!!! I'm also excited for my friend Daniel to be baptized today!!!  

 I know it has only  been a week since we talked, but it felt like it had been a whole year since we talked to Elder Rose!  So we were all very excited to talk to him today.  He seemed in good spirits and had tons of things to tell us.  Here's some of the stories he shared: He told us in the mornings they usually do some Facebook work.  They send random messages to people on Facebook.  This week Luke sent one to a lady and ended up meeting with her on the phone and they talked with her about 15 minutes.  Excited to see if it leads to anything This week they also went and visited some less actives.  This family lives out in the middle of nowhere.  They all have some mental challenges and so they talk slowly.  Luke told them they are his favorite family because he can understand them the best!  :)  They ended up coming to their baptism on Saturday and then church on Sunday.   We have had a busy November! On Nov 13th we received 21 missionaries and on the 19th - 20th another 7 missionaries. Some are new missionaries and some are just now getting to come to their assigned mission - they have been waiting and serving in other missions until the borders opened again. We have 79 missionaries and more are coming soon!! We welcome all these wonderful missionaries to the grand Argentina Resistencia Mission!! ¡Hemos tenido un noviembre ajetreado! El 13 de noviembre recibimos a 21 misioneros y del 19 al 20 otros 7 misioneros. Algunos son nuevos misioneros y algunos recién ahora están llegando a su misión asignada; han estado esperando y sirviendo en otras misiones hasta que las fronteras se abrieron nuevamente. ¡Tenemos 79 misioneros y pronto vendrán más! ¡¡Damos la bienvenida a todos estos maravillosos misioneros a la gran Misión Argentina Resistencia !

Man what a week it has been. I feel so incredibly blessed. I am not gonna be writing super long emails cuz I just do not like writing. So I won't recap every event of the week because it would be an essay. This Argentine Spanish is a whole other level than I could possibly imagine. It is more like Italian tbh, but I love speaking it. It is so much fun. I have made it my goal to whenever I feel uncomfortable speaking with someone, to go and talk to like 5 other people lolll. It has helped so much. I have been able to share my ideas in ward councils, sacrament meeting, and in lessons me and Ramos have had some miracles happen. I can basically understand the gist of what people are saying, and at times fully, but my spanish has gotten exponentially better in 7 days. My companion Elder Ramos is so ´´capo ´´ as they say here. He is seriously amazing. His desire to serve the people here in the Armenia Branch has truly changed my perspective on life. Everything we do is with the goal...

¡Fue un día hermosa ayer! ¡¡¡Estoy muy feliz por Maria Luz y Zaira!!!! Felicitaciones por haciendo convenios con Dios y siguiendo el ejemplo de Jesucristo.   It was a beautiful day yesterday! So happy for Maria Luz and Zaira!!!!. Congratulations for making agreements with God and following the example of Jesus Christ.

  Estoy muy feliz de estar acá en Corrientes capital!!! La gente en este lugar es muy buena! Me gusta mucho el río Paraná. Estoy muy emocionado por conocer muchas personas de acá! I'm so happy to be here in Corrientes Capital!!! The people in this place are so good! I really like the Paraná River. I'm so excited to meet so many people from here!  

Esta es la familia Ipridimo-mollo ellos son la mejor familia!!!! Y mi mejor amigo Valentino quién quiere aprender muchísimo Inglés!!!! Yo voy a enseñarle más Inglés y él va a enseñarme más español!! Estoy muy agradecido por mi compañero Elder Ramos y esta familia también. Ellos son bendiciones en mi vida. Dios es nuestro amoroso padre celestial. Estoy muy agradecido por mi tiempo por solomente dos días en la gran misión de Resistencia!!!!!!! A ser un misionero es un bendición!!!!! This is the Ipidimo-mollo family, they are the best family!!!!  And my best friend Valentino who wants to learn a lot of English!!!!  I'm going to teach him more English and he's going to teach me more Spanish!!  I'm so thankful for my partner Elder Ramos and this family too.  They are blessings in my life.  God is our loving Heavenly Father.  I am very grateful for my time for only two days in the great Resistencia Mission!!!!!!  To be a missionary is a blessing!!!! ...
