Elder Rose is the new District Leader!!!

Yep the title gave it away...Luke just got called as  DISTRICT LEADER!!!!  Holy cow that was fast!  He has only been in Argentina for about 2 1/2 months and already taking on some new responsibilities.  He is feeling VERY humbled right now.   And besides being a District Leader, he is also going to be training a new missionary in about a week.  CRAZY!   This week he poured his heart out to the Branch President and told him he is here for the Coriantes Branch  and wants to serve the people.  And he asked him to be patient with him because he has a lot of learning to do.  And then the Branch President opened up to him and asked what Luke thinks the Branch needs.  Luke was very honest and told him if they study the handbook more that they would be blessed.  He said they should focus on the talks in Sacrament meeting so they are more focused on Christ.  The Branch President loved his counsel and they are both e...

So so sorry that I haven't written an email in so long. Pdays are more like crazy days here for some reason. Things here in Argentina have been great!!! Christmas eve here was absolutely nuts. Argentine Christmas eve is more like New Years where people stay up till midnight and light off every firework imaginable and party in the streets. A little different but honestly it was an unforgettable Christmas for me. We had the baptism of Antonella!! It was such a beautiful day because President and his Wife decided to come and they gave awesome talks/testimonies!! I then had to follow them up with my own talk which was daunting but I was able to say what I wanted to. Great day and as we were about to leave, an investigator that I found on facebook showed up at the gate of the church!! She had traveled by bus over an hour to come for the baptism. I just felt chills when she called us telling us she was outside. We had an amazing lesson with her, showed her around the church, ...

Bwhahaha Elder Rosa's Meme of Luke

Image
Sister Reber emailed me and asked me to send a picture of Luke as a toddler.  They had a game the other day where they had to try to guess which picture went with which missionary.  I guess no one could guess that Luke matched up with his picture.  When they did they all had a good laugh at what a cute little guy he was.  President Reber said Luke has a few more teeth nowadays.  :)   And then Luke's friend Elder Rosa took the picture and made a meme....it says if you share this picture with 5 people then you'll get 30 contacts on Facebook and 25 baptisms.  Ha ha ha!  Funny stuff!
