Meet the new AP for the Resistencia Argentina Mission!!!!

Well we got the exciting news that Elder Rose is the new AP for the mission!!!!  I'm so excited for him!  I know this is going to be a great opportunity for him to learn so much at the feet of his amazing mission president!  And he will probably be the AP for the duration of his mission and so he will also serve under a new president in July!  What a great opportunity! AND he gets to serve with Elder Reyes again!!!!

He found out about the new assignment on Sunday afternoon and he had to leave by Sunday evening!  He arrived in Resistencia at 2:00 am.  Talk about a whirlwind!  When we were talking to him he was in the office and so we got to have a little tour.  He is excited about all the missionaries he gets to work with in  the office.  He will meet with President every Tuesday.  And tomorrow he has to be up by 5:00 am to go and pick up the other missionaries.  One thing he is a little nervous about is that he has to learn how to drive a stick shift!  YIKES!!!  Right when he told us that it brought back memories of him learning to drive a stick in Logan when we were thinking of buying a little manual truck.  It didn't go so well :) ha ha ha.  This time he has the Lord on his side so let's hope it goes better! :)  His area is Bario Dos and is known for being a bit dangerous.  So let's pray for Elder Rose's safety!!!!

This week was a bit of a hard week, but it still had some good moments.  It was hard because it was election day and so hardly anyone came to church.  And during the week most of their appointments fell through.  So it was a rough one.  But they did meet a new couple that live right behind the church and the good news is they are already married!  They also have an 8 year old child.  This couple seems very positive!

Also Luke told us the great news that Sophia is doing better.  Last week she was mad at them because she found out about garments and the temple and felt like she had been deceived.  She went to institute everyday this week and is feeling much better.  In fact she wanted to get a temple recommend interview.  I'm so relieved to hear her heart has softened!

So proud of our hardworking Elder....I can't believe he is now AP!  So exciting!
