Zone Conference & Baby blessings

We just got to talk to Luke for a short time today.  He said it was another busy and great week.  They had 11 people at church yesterday!!!  That is amazing!  And he said there were a couple of families missing that could have been there too!  Wow!  And he loves how great the ward is about missionary work.  They really embrace their investigators and sit with them and make them feel so welcome. One funny thing that happened at church (that you would never see here in the States...)  all of a sudden a member of the Bishopric stood up and said they had a lot of babies in the ward that had not been blessed to anyone who wanted to could bring their baby up for their blessing!  What in the world??? :)  ha ha ha!  So they had about 4 people bring up their babies and then all of a sudden their investigator Brenda asked if she could take her 4 year up there.  So she did :)  So they said her name on the records of the church and her mom isn't even a member! Luke said it probably felt like the Catholic church or something where they bring up all the babies to be baptized :)

This week was exciting because he had the opportunity to go to Resistencia for a Leader Training.  He had to go by bus and while in the bus station they met a guy from Russia!  He also lived in China for a bit!  So he and Luke were able to speak Spanish, Russian, and Chinese together :)  The only problem was the guy was a little drunk and so he started being vulgar and bugging the sisters.  Luke had to go tell him to back off.

The Training was awesome and Luke came away feeling inspired!  It was fun for him to see his Mission President's apartment complex.  He said when they got on the elevator he felt like it was the elevator of Edna from Incredibles!  :)  He was in awe of the weight room, the pool, the conference room, and most especially his President's apartment.

So it was a busy week with a lot of people getting closer and closer to baptism!

A selfie with the guy next to them that fell asleep in a weird position :)

And her shared the sweetest example of Christlike service from one of his investigators...They went to Ernesto and Ramona's house and they had been walking in the dirty streets all day.  So when they went inside they took off their shoes.  Ernesto said they didn't need to do that but they did anyway.  A little while later Ernesto disappeared and soon came back with their shoes in hand.  He went and cleaned them for them!!!!  How sweet is that!

And today Luke figured out how to call Emma and us at the same time!  So fun to be with my 2 grown up kids.
