Luke is getting transferred!!!!

 Well Luke is getting transferred and is going to Formosa.  It's funny because Luke's companion was sure he was going to be the one to get transferred.  But President called and told Luke he was leaving.  His companion was actually asleep, he fell asleep during study time, and so he didn't hear the news.  Luke didn't tell him and thought he could find out when all the transfer news would come out later in the day.  So all day Luke would say to Elder Moulton "Maybe we ought to do this different in this area" or "Maybe we ought to do this to our apartment" and Elder Moulton would say "You mean YOU, because I'm not going to be here."  :)  Luke had to chuckle to himself because he knew he was actually the one leaving :)

So he is going to Formosa and is going to be a Zone Leader!!!!! I'm so excited for him!  Can't wait to hear how his 8 hour bus ride goes and how he likes his new companion and new area!!!


This will be his new Zone!

He got to go on splits with Elder Morgan before he left.  This is Jenny Morgan's nephew!!!

Goodbye to old friends, hello to new companion - Elder Suarez!

 Luke's good friend Elder Rodriguez finished his mission and left this week!  This is the Elder that is friends with our neighbors up the street, the Wasiks!  And then Luke got to welcome 5 new missionaries!  So fun to be in this position right now to say goodbye's and to welcome the new ones!  Next week is going to be a tear-filled one as he has to say goodbye to his beloved mission president and his sweet wife!   One funny thing happened while they were at the airport.  There was a transgender man there in a dress.  As they walked by President Reber said to Luke and his companion "Nice dress!"  ha ha ha, Luke got a kick out of that! :)  Luke is loving his new companion Elder Suarez.  He is so kind and loving toward people and a great guy.  He is from Paraguay so he has a soft spot in my heart because my brother Tyler served in Paraguay!   That's about it from the week.  Busy busy but doing great! A Warm Welcome from a 9 Year Old

 Luke said that it was so sweet because someone they went to teach had a 9 year old that made him a necklace and a little note that said "Thanks for coming to make a happy family."  What a sweet sentiment.  it warmed Luke's heart and he said he'll keep it forever!
